United States Army 3rd Armored Division Unit Crest (Spearhead)
Criteria: This is the Unit Crest (Distinctive Unit Insignia) for the 3rd Armored Division. Activated originally in 1941, the group was given the moniker the "Third Herd". The 3rd armored served in the European Theater during WWII until after V-E Day. Unit Crests are worn on the epaulets of the Army's Cl;ass A Uniform jacket.
