This is a museum quality vintage Navajo huge turquoise squash blossom necklace. This is one of the biggest and finest squash blossom necklaces we have collected this year, weighing a whopping 425 grams! This necklace contains 15 outstanding gigantic and graduating turquoise stones that appear to be from the old Carico Lake turquoise mine. Surrounding each stone are marvelous silver ropes and wave works. Located on the impressive 3-3/4" X 4" quadruple silver shank naja pendant are two accenting silver leaves. Resting throughout the rest of the necklace are incredible round silver beads with a traditional silver clasp. The largest turquoise stone measures a mind blowing 1-1/2" X 1-1/8". This piece is a manta squash blossom, being very important to the Navajo culture because it is huge and most likely a ceremonial piece. Sterling silver. Cir. Mid century .
