In order to achieve high accuracy aerial mapping surveys, ADTi has Launched the 42 MP Mapping Camera Surveyor 42S II (JWCAM version). It has Sony BIONZ X full-frame sensor that guarantees superior image resolution for a drone camera, the camera automatically corrects for distortion for the out-of-camera JPGs, so with low distortion lenses ensure best reconstruction results. Together with the Emlid Reach M 2 or similar PPK GNSS module, that can offer 0.7 cm/ pix GSD, the most importantly, this camera weigh 270 g.
compared to the another Mapping cameras, the Surveyor 42S is an interchangeable lens camera that requires a separate lens, it is compatible with any Sony E-mount Lens for different flight attitude or specific mapping missions.
with our 35mm full frame mapping lens (19g), the total weight with lens is 289g, which a DJI Phantom 4 PRO small size quadcopter can even carry it for a mapping mission.
