This is a fascinating Navajo turquoise and silver bear necklace. This piece contains a long single strand of turquoise stones that appear to be from the amazing old Royston turquoise mine. Resting at the bottom is a phenomenal silver bear pendant that measures around 2" X 1-3/4" including the silver bail. Located on the bear are outstanding geometric patterns with a large hand carved sun pattern. Resting throughout the turquoise stones are incredible white to brown shell heishi with a traditional silver clasp. Sterling silver, marked. Cir. 1970's+. Signed by Navajo artist, Glen Sandoval . The length of the necklace measures around 36". Sturdy 52 grams.
