United States Army Ordnance Regimental Corps Crest

Criteria: The Ordnance Regimental Corps Crest is one of the Army's 14 Regimental Corps Crest insignias. The Regimental Corps Crest signifies each service member's unique regiment and is worn over the right breast pocket on the Class A uniform. The crossed cannons are representative of the Ordnance Corps' relationship to the Artillery. The flaming bomb, also known as the shell and flame, represents the armament throughout history, while the energy it connotes is applicable to the weapons of present day. The white background symbolizes the Ordnance Corps' motto, "ARMAMENT FOR PEACE." The cannoneer's belt, which encircles the flaming bomb and crossed cannons, is embossed with the words "ORDNANCE CORPS U.S.A." and represents the traditional association between munitions and armament. The regimental insignia for the Ordnance Corps was approved for wear on March 25, 1986.
