The Polaris, also known as an Atlas pen, are compact pens twist pen, yet they fill the hand nicely. Artistic and streamlined, this pen is a writing pleasure. This pen is made of Canarywood with a high gloss friction polish, and the hardware is plated with a bright copper finish. “Grip Grooves” were cut into the wood near the tip to eliminate any slipping of the pen through the fingers as you write. A friction polish was applied while the Canarywood body is still on the lathe. The pen is turned at a high speed while crystalline polish is heated by friction during application and forms a protective polished barrier around the wood. It uses a Parker style ball point refill.
