Loki is known as the trickster god of Norse mythology. According to some sources, he is the son of Fárbauti and Laufey and the brother of Helblindi and Býleistr. Loki is the father of Hel, Narfi, the wolf Fenrir and the world serpent Jörmungandr. And strangely enough Loki is also known as the mother of Odin's 8-legged horse Sleipnir (after shape shifting into a mare and courting the stallion Svaðilfari.
This stunning carving also includes two of Loki's children, Fenrir and Jörmungandr.
