The Steady Stick with Quick Release from Davis & Sanford is a compact camera support that shifts the weight of your load to your waist and leaves your hands free to steadily maneuver the camera. A length-adjustable, monopod-like center arm installs into a waist-belt and provides a secure point of stability, while a handle near the camera platform offers another point of balance as well as point of control.
The handle can be adjusted for left or right-handed use, and can also be positioned straight directly behind the camera, in which case you can use it to pan the camera as well as move it in or out.
