EGE Story:
The story took place in an eastern country in ancient China. It was Shang dynasty, Wu Ding, the King of Shang Dynasty, who had defeated Xia Dynasty, launched an attack on a northwest nomad community with 6000 soldiers . After two months of war, their food and supplies were almost consumed up. In a snowy night the enemy made a raid on them and they suffered a serious blow. Wu Ding fled in panic with his few soldiers. When they arrived at the foot of a mountain, the soldiers’ shoes were lost, they were terribly hungry and cold .However ,there were nothing but three horses left. At the last minute, in order to save the lives of soldiers, Wu ordered to kill the horses to feed the starving soldiers. What’s more, the horse skin were used to wrap the soildire’s bare feet. These “horse skin shoes” were origin of the first Eastern leather shoes.
Wu and his soldiers were lucky enough to return to the capital with these “Lucky Shoes” . To commemorate the three horses , Wu announced that these shoes made with horses was the most precious shoes, and no one could make shoes with horsehide. Since then the wisdom eastern began making shoes with leather made from cow skin and it continued to today .
