This Ethiopian Coffee was reviewed at 93 points. It is a balanced, crisply herb-toned washed Yirgacheffe cup, deepened by sweet stonefruit notes, and wonderful Gedeb-like characteristics. The berry flavor of this coffee closely resembles strawberry flavors with an herbalicious quality, more specifically like a minty basil. The pluot is a stone fruit hybrid of plum and apricot. One reviewer describes it as, "Deeply sweet, crisply herb-toned. Lemon verbena, plum, baking chocolate, hazelnut, honeysuckle in aroma and cup. Sweetly tart structure with brisk acidity; full, syrupy mouthfeel. Resonant finish with lemon verbena and baking chocolate front and center."

This Etiopian Yirgacheffe is produced by Bedhatu Jibicho. Bedhatu was born and raised in Worka where her farm is also located. She started working in coffee in the 1960s when the government gave land to her husband. Bedhatu takes great pride in the fact that she has managed the farm operations for over 50 years, even before her husband passed away in 1991. As Bedhatu is now over 80 years old, her adult children have started to become more involved in continuing her rich tradition of coffee production. The family plans to use the premiums from coffee sales to expand production and start an export company.
In 2016, a different coffee from Ethiopia, the Ethiopia Gedeo was one of the keys to winning the competition, at Coffee Fest.

We roast different coffees on different days. Please expect to receive your coffee 7 to 10 days after ordering. We ship the next morning after roasting and you will receive it within 3-4 days of it's roast date. If there is a delay, you will be notified.
