For Costume Use Only

Rome was built on the back of Greek politics, pasta was inspired by Asian noodles from Marco Polo's travels, and Beretta improved on Walther's P-38 with the 92. The Italian Peninsula has always been a hub of refinement, and when it comes to the SEPT2 ballistic helmet—things are no different.

If you take the PASGT helmet as a starting point, you've got a fairly good idea of what you're signing on for with one of these: solid protection for your head, temple, and ears from pistol threats and shrapnel. The SEPT2 is also pretty comfortable, easy to adjust, and quick to don and doff. These '90s-style helmets may have been declared obsolete by the Italian government, but they hold up pretty good. (And to be fair, a lot of the Italian army still uses the SEPT2, so take that as you will...)

We Shot it a Bunch

Legally speaking we can't recommend these for anything other than 'costume use.' Of course that didn't stop us from shooting one. Our conclusion? These helmets are roughly NIJ II. In our casual test the helmet stopped NATO spec 124gr 9x19 and super hot Egyptian +P+ smg ammo. A human head likely wouldn't have a great day, but we weren't able to penetrate the helmet.

These helmets are a limited-time offering. We aren't expecting to get more in, so grab one while you can!

Sizing

For your SEPT2 helmet sizing, measure the circumference around the widest part of your head (typically right above the eyebrows) in centimeters.

  • Medium: 57-58cm
  • Large: 59-61cm
