This larimar stone jewelry was designed by Roslyn Tanner Evans in her Rockland, NY studio. It's a standout set whose unique design components channel the elements. Larimar is a relatively new specimen of semi-precious stone and can be found only on the island of Hispaniola in the Caribbean Sea. These ethereal blue tumbled larimar nuggets are speckled and lined with black, red and brown, they're the embodiment of sea, earth and sky. Heavenly blue larimar is believed to cool tempers and calm fears.
The baroque freshwater pearls add drama to the design; their brown luster highlights the darker tones in the larimar. Interspersed throughout the design are small silver-toned cubes.
This striking necklace closes with a toned-toned pewter hook and eye clasp. The inner strand is 16", outer strand is 18"
