The M3 Stuart was the first American tank to engage Axis tanks in WWII. It was sent to British forces through Lend-Lease and fought in North Africa just before America entered the war. Its armor and weaponry made it a match for early German tanks and more than a match for Japanese light tanks. Before the war was over, the M3 Stuart would fight with the British, Russians, and Americans in Europe, Africa, and the Pacific.
