Officially Licensed Lord of the Rings Bag End™ Door Pendant Necklace
Inspired by The Hobbit™ and The Lord of the Rings™, the immortal works by J.R.R. Tolkien, the Bag End™ Door Pendant Necklace is an officially licensed jewelry design with Middle-earth Enterprises.
The most iconic feature of Bag End, the home of Bilbo Baggins™ and later Frodo Baggins™, was its beautiful green door. "It had a perfectly round door like a porthole, painted green, with a shiny yellow brass knob in the exact middle"™. The rune found in the top right corner is the secret mark made by Gandalf™ to alert Thorin's™ Dwarven party that this was the home of their burglar and treasure hunter. The mark is a Dwarvish bindrune combining the meanings of the "F" and "R" runes. Together the runes indicate that the occupant of the home is in search of a journey for wealth, treasure and adventure and is willing to travel, or as Gandalf described it, "Burglar wants a good job, plenty of excitement and reasonable reward"™.
The Hobbit hole door necklace handcrafted in sterling silver and is filled with a rich green enamel. The door knob is plated with 24k gold to give it it's distinct "brass" finish.
The door charm measures approximately 25.5 mm tall (just over one inch) top to bottom including bail, 21.1 mm wide (0.83 in), and .01 mm thick. The back of the door is textured and stamped with makers mark, copyright and sterling. The pendant weighs approximately 6.4 grams and comes with your choice of 24" long stainless steel rope chain or 24" gold plated rope chain.
