The Flowering Mickey Mouse bonsai tree is the symbol of luck for the Vietnamese new year. The narrow leaves are oblong to elliptic, and are shiny green with fine toothed serrations along the leaf's edges. The flowers are yellow and quite fragrant. After it flowers, it produces bright red sepals and some seeds. The seeds start with a green color and turn black. Sometimes when the seeds fall, it resembles the Disney character "Mickey Mouse".
