This is actually my second one of these necklaces! My other one has bigger charms and brass hardware, and I love it so much that I decided to get a second one. This version has all the high points of the other: heavy cabochons over crisp pictures of the planets - and they're double-sided! The only issues are the domes are the tiniest bit cloudy, and the chain is too long to wear at a length to display the planets properly. I have the tools to shorten the chain and move the clasp, but if you don't, just be aware that this necklace hangs pretty low!

Beautiful but missing Saturn

I am an astronomy nerd, so I was excited to get this necklace. My only complaint is that it's missing Saturn, and it's completely my fault for not noticing before I bought it. I still like the overall look of the necklace and the quality of the individual charms is good. I really appreciate these chains that have varying lengths. It makes it much easier to wear with a variety of shirts. Next time I buy a solar system necklace, I will make sure it has all the planets on it. :)

As a former amateur astronomer (former only because I moved to a city with extreme light pollution) I was delighted to find this and knew I had to have it. To call this necklace beautiful and unique is an understatement. I don't care that Venus and Saturn are not included (I am still upset over Pluto being downgraded) and that the moon and sun are incorporated in the design, I only care that it is beautiful. A hint to those who find it twisting around - examine the chain and you will see that it is a loose design that has little structure. Try holding the necklace clasp end up with the planets falling downward, run your fingers over the chain and it will spiral and straighten, follow through to the planets and the other side of the chain. This usually removes the twists in the chain allowing it to lay flat.
