United States Army Nevada National Guard Unit Crest (Above The Rest)
Criteria: This item is the unit crest of the Nevada National Guard. The unit's motto, "Above The Rest," is emblazoned across the top edge of the design. The miner's tools of a pickaxe, rod and hammer allude to the importance of mining in the state. The star and the sagebrush wreath are adapted from the Nevada State flag and the silver color refers to the state's nickname "The Silver State." Also called distinctive unit insignia, this item is designed for wear on the Army Dress Blue (ASU) Uniform.
