Olive Wood Ner Tamid Hand Blow Sun Glass
This Eternal Light was one of two Ner Tamids commissioned by Congregation Shaare Tefillah in MD. The Ner Tamid was mold blown into the Olivewood base, which was lathed and hollowed by hand from local found Israeli olivewood, carefully seasoned in the shop. The mold was then brought to the hot shop and blown into with liquid hot glass, kiln cooled, then placed back into the finished mold. Handmade borosilicate glass bead fits the bottom. Beautiful fit with glass flowing into the empty space.
