It is said there is no such thing as free speed but with our aero Taurus road bike we have got it as close to zero as can be. The frame cuts through the air even when it is sitting still. Take it out on a group ride, and you may never have to pedal as the bike will draft whoever is in front of you.
The frame at the heart of the Taurus road bike screams speed. A full carbon beast constructed from Toray T700 carbon fiber and as you would imagine from an aero bike frame fully optimized for speed. We have hidden internal cable routing to keep your cables out of the wind and is fully DI2 ready.
To keep the frame stiff and fast we have used a tapered headtube and fitted a BB86 bottom bracket; this keeps the bottom bracket area super stiff. Forward movement will reward every ounce of your effort.
If you want to slow down, we have fitted a Shimano 105 groupset including the brakes. Meaning you can have smooth, controlled braking for when you are hitting apex turns. When you sprint out of corners, you will find the Shimano 105 gear changes to be fast and reliable.
Rounding out the bike we have our carbon fibre finishing kit and have fitted a set of 32mm deep wheels with sealed bearing hubs. You might be after speed, but you will also be wanting reliability when you are out beating PBs.
