The scarab beetle is a large dung beetle that is regarded as being sacred by the ancient Egyptians. The scarab is a symbol of immortality, resurrection, transformation and protection much used in funerary art. The Egyptian Ankh symbol is a hieroglyphic character that is often used to represent life. This silver pendant is cut in the shape of the Ankh symbol but carries several scarab-themed markings; the most prominent of which is the 3D scarab beetle pendant that is placed at the center. The surrounding parts of the ankh symbol carry an extension of the charm. The markings on this Innovato Design accessory are beautifully etched on and highlighted by the contrast between the polished silver and matted black coat of the deeper crevices. The pendant and accompanying 50cm chain are crafted from a durable 316L stainless steel.
