How Does It Work

Snakes and rodents are capable of feeling vibrations that travel through the ground. For example, snakes have only one inner ear. This inner ear perceives ("hears") the vibrations that are felt by the snake's skull. It can sense the approach of a larger animal by picking up specific patterns of vibrations. Most snakes will not engage with the larger animal. They tend to just run away and avoid the encounter altogether.

Each ultrasound device will produce vibrations that travel through the ground. Each pulse of 400Hz-1000Hz will last from 4 to 10 seconds. The number of pulses emitted per minute will also vary. This variation in pulse frequency and duration will emulate a larger predator in its natural environment. This technology is superior to other devices that would pulsate every 30 seconds or so. How Many Repellent Devices Do You Need?

To answer this question, you need to look at the size of your property. The larger is the size of your yard, the more units it will require. Each pair of devices can cover up to 1,300 square meters (or 6,996 square feet). For a small yard, less than 0.25 acre, all you need is just two devices. For 1/2 acre lot, you will need one additional device (for total of 3). Roughly, each acre of yard space will require 6 devices (3 pairs of devices). More devices would be needed if you have concrete walls or other obstacles, such as driveways. Vibrations created by the repeller do not pass through concrete. So, if you have a concrete structures, you may need to position the devices on either side of this obstacle.

How it works?

Solar powered repellent has been developed as a deterrent for many kinds of animals. It emits a pulsing buzzing into the surrounding soil. Snakes and some animals hardly hear airborne sounds but are sensitive to vibration. Most animals choose to avoid danger when they feel the vibration.
Changing vibration pattern helps to deter animals that encounter the repellent again. The repellent vibrates at various time intervals in cycle (5s, 30s, 40s, 50s, 60s, 120s). Each vibration lasts about 4 to 10 seconds.
Built-in garden LED lights turn on automatically at dusk or when the solar panel is not being charged. They light up in 2 patterns: constant and steady (30mins) and flashing (30mins, flash once per minute).

Product Assembly:

The solar head and the vibration tube are shipped not assembled.
Gently pull out the cable from the Vibration Tube to access the plug.
Insert the plug from the Vibration Tube into Solar Head. The repellent emits vibration immediately and starts to work.
Push the Solar Head onto the Vibration Tube.
Place the assembled Solar Repellent outside where it will be exposed to bright sunlight. Allow one day for the internal battery to charge when using first time.

Installation Guide:

Place vibration tube 10-15 cm deep into the ground. Never force or hammer the device into the around.
Backfill with finely crumbled soil. Soak soil with water to set.
Place repellent no more than 25m apart. In sandy or rocky soil reduce to 10m.
Poor soil contact will cause a weak vibration and noisy operation. Avoid air gaps.
Vibration doesn't pass through buildings and hard substances like rocks & concrete.
Vibration doesn't jump across deep cracks. Add extra repellents when needed to avoid limiting your coverage area.
