We are all familiar with No Face. He only grunts a few times during the movie Spirited Away. But it is not his words that mark his character but rather his actions. At times No Face seems to be a good spirit and at times No Face can quite be the evil spirit, as shown in the bathhouse of Yubaba when he tricked the people in believing he was giving them gold for food. He ate all their food and a couple of employees as well.
In the end of Spirited Away it seems that Chihiro is the only person that is able to withstand the temptations of No Face and therefore also the only one that is able to conquer No Face. As a result, No Face obeys Chihiro and wants to follow her all the time.
