The cost of buying a baby chick and feeding her for 6 weeks is only $2.50. After she grows and gets her feathers, we will hand her off to a single parent home, a widow or an orphan. They will care for her until she starts laying eggs. As long as she has a safe place to sleep, she will forage for food during the day time. She will eventually lay an egg per day, providing great protein, fats and vitamins.
