Vintage Covered Wagon Planter by Napcoware of Japan.
Vintage mid century era covered wagon planter with a matte finish on the outside, glossy on the inside. The details on this one are amazing and the bisque like finish is great. The plant opening is on one side of the wagon top so if you want to use it as display with no plant, just face that side out. It's only 4" deep so it will fit on most window sills and mantels. We lived in a log house for a decade and this planter was one of the things I bought from an antique shop when I went totally Abe Lincoln with my decorating. I didn't use it as a planter, which is why the inside is so very clean. I used it as display piece on my mantel and had some bisque cows that stood beside it. In that room there was a stained glass window with a covered wagon and oxen crossing a stream...the whole room took you back to another time.
