The white to pink flowers combine with a light almond-like fragrance to make it quite a show-stopper. Along with its outstanding beauty, it also has a relatively fast growth rate and medium-sized stature, making it easy to incorporate into almost any landscape.
Weeping Yoshino cherry trees are considered moderate to fast, growers, especially in their youth. Young trees may reach 10 to 15 feet in as little as three or four years. They may also have a trunk diameter of up to 3 inches at this same age.
The rapid juvenile growth rate of this weeping cherry tree slows a bit like the tree ages, but it may still grow an additional 3 to 4 feet per year throughout its lifetime.
Weeping Yoshino Cherry Tree mature trees reach a height of only 20 to 30 feet with rounded tops. It's arching branches tend to droop slightly but can ultimately reach 20 to 30 feet in spread. Like most other trees in the cherry family, the Weeping Yoshino Cherry Tree tends to have a relatively short life span of 15 to 20 years.
